Marketing support for security distributor
We have worked with security distributor Oprema for a number of years, supporting their in-house marketing team with projects including delivering a content marketing programme, carrying out ad hoc media relations activities and project managing their exhibition stand design and build for IFSEC, Europe’s leading security trade show.
The challenge
Oprema had ambitious growth plans, wanting to develop from an independent, local distributor to a full turnkey national security solutions provider. The decision to appoint a marketing agency, to boost Oprema’s brand awareness and better engage with existing and potential customers, was a fundamental part of the MD’s growth plans.
Our approach
Following an in-depth customer and market research project, we developed a calendar of regular content, covering industry thought-leadership pieces, company news, case studies and human interest pieces designed to tap into the wants and needs of Oprema’s existing and future customers. This content was shared via Oprema’s monthly newsletter, the website and their various social media channels.
Most recently, Morton Waters received a brief to deliver a PR campaign to promote Oprema’s donation of a Dahua thermal imaging solution to University Hospital Llandough, to help protect keyworkers and patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project scope included creation of a news release, selling in to three target media sectors – local press, healthcare and security titles – and reporting. Due to the nature of the rapidly evolving situation, the Morton Waters team acted swiftly to ensure that coverage appeared during the height of the pandemic, and achieved coverage across all three target sectors, including BBC Wales, Building Better Healthcare and Professional Security Magazine.
