Hi everyone! I’m Charlie Saunders, and I’m thrilled to have joined Morton Waters as a Senior Account Executive in January 2025. This role represents an exciting step forward in my career, and I cannot wait to properly get stuck in.
My journey in marketing has always been driven by the people I work with. In marketing, you’re not just offering a product or a service; you’re creating a connection, something I believe is often overlooked but is at the heart of impactful marketing.
A little about me
I bring a positive, can-do attitude and a constant eagerness to learn, which has helped me to develop a well-rounded set of marketing skills. I thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects and managing a forever-changing workload while delivering high-quality results.
My path into marketing began at Sixth Form, where I studied business, psychology, and product development. Business stood out to me as my favourite subject, and my fascination with human psychology naturally led me to explore marketing as a prospect.
After Sixth Form, I joined a local marketing and website design agency. Here I had the opportunity to learn the ropes in a real-world environment. Working for small to medium businesses taught me invaluable lessons, not just about strategy and technique but also about work ethic. I believe I became incredibly adaptable, dependable, and proactive while developing a mindset based on integrity.
Working in a small business, it is not uncommon to wear multiple hats. My role quickly developed from managing social media accounts and creating engaging content to taking a more hands-on approach with the expansion of the website design department. I often served as a key liaison between the client, project manager, and developers, ensuring deadlines were met.
My First Impression of Morton Waters
The whole team at Morton Waters has been nothing but lovely during my onboarding. The culture and core values here are in perfect alignment with my own, making this an ideal place to continue to grow. I’m excited to deliver a personal touch to my clients and absorb as much knowledge as possible from this incredibly talented team.
Outside of the Office…
When I’m not working, I’ll be stressing about Arsenal Football Club; I’ve been a lifelong supporter and visit the Emirates every chance I get. I also play in a six-a-side football team every week since officially “retiring” from 11-a-side football…too much running! Beyond football, I consider myself a fair-weather golfer and fisherman, and I love hiking, particularly when there is a worthwhile view.
